And, unlike cash or check, a Visa Gift Card is, well, more personal. You can have the recipient’s name embossed right on the front, and you can even have a personalized email sent to the recipient before the gift card arrives.

How the Card Works
The Visa Gift Card is a pre-paid card. You can “load” a dollar amount on the card, and after activating it, the recipient can use the card until that dollar amount is spent, then dispose of the card. (Note: The card is not reloadable).
Card Amounts
You can order a card with a whole dollar amount loaded on it, ranging from $10 to $500.
Affordable to purchase
There's a small fee of $3.50 for personalized cards and $2.50 for non-personalized (no name appears on the card). This fee will be added at the time of purchase.
Activation and Information, By Phone or Online
The recipient can activate the card, check balances, get information on the last five transactions, report the card as lost or stolen, or get answers to frequently asked questions online at or by phone at 866-902-6082.
