What is Mobile Banking?

Mobile Banking is Online Banking with your mobile phone. On the Credit Union’s secure mobile platforms, it’s easy to access your money, wherever you are. You can use Mobile Banking to:
  • View balance information
  • Transfer funds
  • Pay bills (currently available for the iPhone app only)
  • View account transaction history.
  • We offer three ways to utilize Mobile Banking with our:

  • Text Banking
  • Mobile Banking website, at http://m.BCU.org
  • Mobile Banking app that is available for Apple®, Android™ and Windows® powered phones and tablets.

    Do I need to be a member of the Credit Union to use Mobile Banking?

    Yes, you will need to be a current member of the Credit Union to use Mobile Banking. Not a member yet? Join today.

    Why can’t I log into my membership through Mobile Banking?

    Current members of the Credit Union will need to enroll in Online Banking before logging into Mobile Banking. Once an Online Banking password has been established, you will use the same log in credentials to access Mobile Banking. First time logging in? Sign up for online banking here.

    I locked myself out. Can I unlock my Online Banking password through Mobile Banking?

    Currently, members can not unlock their Online Banking password through Mobile Banking. To unlock your Online Banking password visit the Credit Union website and click the ‘I forgot my password’ link under Access Your Accounts.

    Can I deposit checks with my mobile device?

    Members are able to deposit checks using their mobile device through Deposit Anywhere. Deposit Anywhere is available through our website and is also available through our Apple® and Android™ apps.

    Depending on your mobile device, there are different ways to access Deposit Anywhere:
  • iPhone and iPad – Deposit Anywhere is built into our mobile banking app and can also be accessed through our mobile banking website, in conjunction with our stand-alone Deposit Anywhere app.
  • Android operating systems up to 2.3 (Gingerbread) – Deposit Anywhere is built into our mobile banking app and can also be accessed through our mobile banking website, in conjunction with our stand-alone Deposit Anywhere app.
  • Android operating systems 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or higher – Deposit Anywhere can be accessed through our mobile banking website, in conjunction with our stand-alone Deposit Anywhere app.

    Can Mobile Banking locate the nearest BCU branch, surcharge-free ATM, or Shared Branch?

    Members who access the Mobile Banking website http://m.BCU.org can find the nearest BCU branch, surcharge-free ATM, or Shared Branch by selecting the “Locations” link on the home page.

    The Mobile Banking app allows members to enter an address or use their GPS location to provide the closest BCU branch, surcharge-free ATM, or Shared Branch. Simply select the “Find ATM/Branch” button within the Mobile Banking app.

    Is Mobile Banking secure?

    Yes. We use SSL encryption to communicate security with all services, as well as state-of-the-art security measures to protect your personal information—no matter how you access your accounts.

    Can I transfer money between my own Credit Union accounts?

    Transferring funds to your other Credit Union accounts within a single membership (ie., Checking to Savings) is available through the Mobile Banking website at http://m.bcu.org and the Mobile Banking app. Simply select the “Transfer Funds” link to get started.

    Can I transfer money to my other Credit Union memberships?

    You can transfer funds to other memberships once those accounts have been linked by our Service Centers or Member Relations team. Simply select “Transfer Funds” and you will see the new membership numbers are options for transferring. You can use either m.bcu.org or our mobile banking app to transfer the funds to other memberships.

    Can I transfer funds to another financial institution?

    Transferring funds to another financial institution is not currently available through our Mobile Banking website at http://m.bcu.org or our Mobile Banking app.

    Can I pay my bills through Mobile Banking?

    Yes, Bill Pay is available through the Mobile Banking app with Apple® and Android™ devices.

    Can I view check images through Mobile Banking?

    Members who access their accounts through the Mobile Banking website at http://m.BCU.org, cannot view cleared check images.

    However, the Mobile Banking app allows members to view both cleared checks and checks sent through Online Bill Pay. If you use Online Bill Pay, some payments are processed electronically and do not produce a check image. Some are made by generating a physical check on your behalf, and those are viewable within the Mobile Banking app. To view the check image, simply select the arrow to the right of the transaction listing.

    Can I get Account Alerts?

    Yes, select the Account Alerts / Text Banking link within Online Banking to set up alerts for all your Credit Union accounts.

    Can I make payments to my Credit Union Credit Cards or loans through Mobile Banking?

    Yes, Mobile Banking allows members to make payments directly to their Credit Union credit card(s) or loan(s). To make a payment, select “Transfer Funds” within the Mobile Banking website at http://m.bcu.org and the Mobile Banking app.

    Can I apply for a Credit Union Credit Card or loan through Mobile Banking?

    Currently, members are unable to apply for Credit Union Credit Cards or loans through the Mobile Banking website at http://m.bcu.org and the Mobile Banking app. Members can apply for Credit Union Credit Cards or loans through the Credit Union website

    Yes, the Mobile Banking app is available on the iPod and iPad. You can download the app by visiting the App Store on your mobile device or desktop. Search for “BCU.”
