BCU Named Top 100 Workplace for Fourth Consecutive Year by Chicago Tribune

A Better way To Bank. A Top Place to Work.

November 16, 2015BCU has been selected as one of the Chicago Tribune's Top 100 Workplaces for 2015, ranking among the top 25 mid-sized companies named to the list. This marks the fourth consecutive year the Credit Union has been recognized as a top Chicagoland employer. The Tribune's special report and invitation-only award event publicly recognizes the most dynamic and supportive organizations to work for in the Chicago area.

The list features the top 100 companies in the region based on an employee survey measuring key qualities and best practices that make these companies attractive. The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback through a survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.

"Top Workplaces is a unique event in that it recognizes leading companies but really pays respect to the employees that make up each organization and keep the businesses flourishing," notes Chicago Tribune editor Gerould Kern. "We're proud to support companies that foster growth and acknowledge the hard work of their employees.”

As an employer, BCU has consistently been recognized by its more than 480 employees as possessing the dynamic assets of a top workplace, including confidence in company leadership, competitive compensation and benefits, employee development, workplace flexibility and a passionate employee culture supporting a unified vision. As an organization, BCU is focused on giving back to the community as a supporter financially, as well as through volunteer efforts for local and national charitable organizations.

The 2015 award also marks another milestone for the Credit Union's applauded cultural reputation with Senior Vice President HR/Talent Management, Lisa Baron, celebrating 30 years with the organization.

“I couldn't be prouder of the outstanding culture we've built at BCU. Lisa Baron has been a phenomenal driving force in cultivating the top talent and type of environment that consistently make us one of the top workplaces in the Chicago-area,” said BCU President and CEO, Mike Valentine. “To all of our employees, board of directors and supporting sponsors, I offer my heartfelt thanks.”
