Reporting Fraud

Please contact us right away if you believe you may be a victim of fraud

Report Fraud As soon as possible

If you suspect that you’re the victim of fraud, you should report it immediately using the following guidelines.

Lost or stolen ATM / Debit /Credit Card

Call BCU at 800-449-7728 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to report your lost or stolen card.

Report suspicious activity on your checking / savings accounts and or loans:

Call Member Relations at 800-388-7000 or contact us.

Report suspicious email or online fraud

To report a suspicious email or online fraud that uses BCU’s name, forward it to us immediately at abuse@bcu.org. (Please note that this email address should not be used if you are a victim of online fraud, for disputes of credit card purchases, or to seek resolution of online fraud. Call Member Services at 800-388-7000 instead. Do not include personal information such as member ID or account information in an email.)

Alert a credit bureau with your concerns

If you suspect you might be a victim of identity theft, contact the three major credit bureaus listed below to place a fraud alert on your credit file. You also can order a credit report to identify any unauthorized activity:

  • Equifax – 800-525-6285
  • Experian – 888-397-3742
  • Trans Union – 800-600-7289
