BCU Recognized As Finalist For Prestigious Banking Tech Award

Chicago - BCU is proud to share that its Branch Operations team was named a finalist for the Banking Tech Awards USA 2025 in the category of Best Digital Initiative by a Community Bank/Credit Union. This recognition came through a nomination by the BCU’s valued partner, Zebra Technologies, in honor of the Credit Union’s successful implementation of the Workcloud Task Management solution — known internally as Branch Central Station — across its Branch network. BCU Recognized As Finalist For Prestigious Banking Tech Award


This initiative marked a major milestone in Branch Operation’s digital transformation journey. By replacing a legacy system with Zebra’s scalable, centralized platform, the organization streamlined task management, improved operational visibility, and empowered its teams to focus more on delivering exceptional member service. The results speak for themselves: a 98% completion rate on self-audit tasks and 93% on-time task completion in the first year.


This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of BCU’s Branch Operations & Retail Teams. Their commitment to embracing change, learning new systems, and driving operational excellence has set a new standard for how the Credit Union serves its members.


While BCU didn’t take home the top prize, they were honored to attend the Banking Tech Awards USA gala as guests of Zebra Technologies. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this recognition, connect with other banking professionals, and gain insights from industry leaders who are shaping the future of financial services.
