Mayor Attends BCU Gurnee Grand Opening

April 15, 2014Gurnee Mayor, Kristina Kovarik, joined the BCU team at the official grand opening of the Gurnee Service Center this morning. Mayor Kovarik says she is thrilled to welcome the new community access branch to the area, pledging the support of the local community and local businesses.

The highly anticipated Gurnee Service Center opened its doors last month to a warm welcome from local residents. The new full-service community access location will provide convenient access to Credit Union services for BCU members across several communities in Northern Illinois and Wisconsin.

Just days before, new BCU spokesperson and local television/radio personality, Lou Manfredini, also made an appearance at the new Gurnee Service Center to meet with members and fans.

“Some may know me as Mr. Fix It, the host of HouseSmarts TV and DIY expert, but when it comes to banking, I'm just like many of you,” explains the Illinois native host of Chicago’s number one Saturday morning WGN radio show. “I work hard for my money and want to make sure it does the same for me. I'm a business owner, homeowner, husband, and dad with kids in college. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my financial needs. In my TV and radio segments I connect listeners with products or services I truly stand behind. And BCU is one of them.”

As part of his partnership with BCU, Lou will help provide valuable member education through BCU’s Life. Money. You.™ Program.
